Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 18 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of The Catalogue Club, an independent album-discovery service operated under the trading name Haus Of Ry. The service helps users discover albums, listen through linked music services and, if you create an account, record your ratings and catalogue history.

Service: The Catalogue Club
Trading name: Haus Of Ry
Contact: [email protected]

Legal operator: Ryan Joseph Smith, trading as Haus Of Ry. References to the operator or to “we”, “us” and “our” mean this operator. Haus Of Ry and The Catalogue Club are trading/service names, not a separate incorporated company.

2. Eligibility and using Catalogue Club

You must be at least 13 years old to use Catalogue Club. The service is not intended for children under 13, and you must not create an account or provide personal information if you are under 13.

You may use the core album-discovery service without creating an account. Some features, including persistent catalogue history and favourites across devices, require an account. You may use the service for lawful personal use. You must not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass security controls, gain unauthorised access, abuse account functionality, or use the service to infringe another person's rights.

3. Accounts

Accounts are optional. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account. You must provide accurate information and tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may delete your account using the account controls where available. Account deletion is intended to remove your account data, catalogue history and saved albums, subject to information we are legally required to retain.

4. Album information and third-party services

Catalogue Club relies on external catalogue and music services to identify albums and provide listening links. Availability, artwork, track information and links may change or become unavailable. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms or privacy practices.

5. Intellectual property

The Catalogue Club name, original software, design and original written content belong to the operator or its licensors. Album artwork, recordings, artist names and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners. Catalogue Club does not grant you rights to third-party music or artwork beyond the rights provided by the relevant service.

6. Your content

If the service allows you to submit profile information, ratings or other content, you retain any rights you have in that material. You grant Catalogue Club the limited permission needed to store and display it as part of providing the service.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Catalogue Club available and accurate but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may maintain, modify, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.

8. No guarantee of recommendations

Album selection is intended for discovery and entertainment. A score, recommendation or catalogue result is not a guarantee of quality, suitability or availability.

9. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, other users or our systems, including where these terms are breached. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, Catalogue Club is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis and we are not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or for failures caused by third-party services outside our reasonable control.

11. Privacy

Our processing of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in our Cookie & Storage Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service changes or where necessary for legal or operational reasons. The latest version will be published on this page. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will take reasonable steps to draw it to your attention.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction, unless applicable law gives you a right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms should be sent to [email protected].

These terms are a product draft and are not a substitute for independent legal advice.
